TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME CHARLOTTE SAT DOWN AT HER USUAL TABLE, the booth in the front corner of the restaurant. It was made of a good, solid wood and was right next to a window. She loved being able to watch everyone walk by as they went about their day, their scarves blowing in the wind.
THE WAITRESS CAME OVER, BRINGING A GLASS OF WATER, WONDERING IF anyone else would be joining Miss Charlotte today. I love that they know me by name here, thought Charlotte. She told the waitress that she didn't think anyone else would be joining her today, but she'd be keeping her fingers crossed! Charlotte wrapped her shawl closer to her, having felt a chill of winter air when the door opened for another customer. She loved this time of year, but it wasn't always pleasant being out in the cold.
SHE SMILED AS THE WARMTH FROM THE FIREPLACE
greeted her like an old friend. She could hear laughing coming from a nearby table, a group of friends sharing dessert together. On the other side of the restaurant, an elderly couple was celebrating, she assumed, a wedding anniversary. -- we've got it good ( WHETHER YOU LIKE THIS TOWN OR NOT ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Christin walked into the cafe, his smile growing bigger as the warmth surrounded him. He loved this cafe the most. It was one of his favorite things about living here. Apart from his friends and the people, of course. He joined in on the end of the line and ordered his usual hot chocolate with cream and marshmellows. Christin wasn't one for caffiene much. He'd drink it, sure but mostly he'd order a hot chocolate any day over coffee or tea. He was a strange twenty year old, sure. But thats because he was still stuck in a child mind-set.
He paid for his drink and looked round for somewhere to sit. Christin didn't want to sit by himself. He was the type of person that craved company and when he didn't have company he felt like he was going to go insane. He looked at each table in turn until he saw a familiar face. Charlotte. They'd stopped talking recently, he had a feeling it was because of the drugs but he wasn't sure. They'd just grown apart and to be honest, it upset him. He didn't like losing friends, especially when those friends were so close to him. He quickly moved over to her table, a grin set on his face.
"Lottie!" He called in a slightly girly voice. He dragged out the end of her name, practically singing it. He sat down opposite her, resting his hot chocolate on the table. "Enjoying the cold weather?" Christin laughed, glancing outside. He loved the cold weather, the snow and the frost. It just made everything so pretty. Winter was definatly his favorite season, summer was just to hot for him. He took a sip of his hot chocolate, attempting to warm him up. He did love the cold weather but it was starting to get a bit to cold, even for him.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME "OH MY GOODNESS, CHRIS!", Charlotte said, giving his hand a squeeze across the table. She couldn't believe her luck. First, braving the brisk weather to get to her favorite restaurant and now Chris was sitting right in front of her.
"WHAT BRINGS YOU AROUND, MISTER?," she asked. It felt like her smile went from ear to ear; she loved getting to spend time with Chris. They had been best friends growing up, but their paths rarely crossed anymore. She had fully embraced her powers and felt nearly at one with nature. Of course, she still had plenty to learn. But Chris has always been more free-spirited than I am, thought Charlotte. Of course he would want to experience the world, both the good and the bad. And she couldn't judge him for wanting that. She was just always more content with her life and its sense of humility. She was much calmer, much more at peace, than Chris had ever been. Sometimes, she felt a little sorry about how everything had turned out, but she knew everything happened for a reason.
THE WAITRESS BROUGHT OVER CHARLOTTE'S ORDER

-- we've got it good ( WHETHER YOU LIKE THIS TOWN OR NOT ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Christin laughed brightly at her reaction. He was glad she was happy to see him, he was always slightly worried that just maybe, she'd gotten fed up. Maybe she just didn't want him around anymore and thats why they didn't talk as much. Either way, he always managed to push himself back into her life. He did it with anyone. It was hard to get rid of Chris because if he wanted to stay friends with you, chances were you were still going to see him and have to put up with him. It took a lot to get rid of him and so far, not many people had done it.
Chris shrugged slightly at her question. "I just needed a drink and didn't feel like staying at home to have one." He said simply with a smile. The real reason to be honest was that his mum had called and threatened to pay a visit. She'd been doing that a lot recently and he couldn't imagine why. He knew his dad had passed away and his mother was still alive and well but thats because she wasn't human. She'd decided to move back to Cherry Tree Lane and Chris was doing his best to avoid her. Not many of his friends knew about his parents and he couldn't remember is he'd ever told Charlotte before. He probably had let something slip once but it didn't matter. No-one needed to know. He shook all thoughts of his mother from his head and took another sip of his hot chocolate.
Chris glanced at the waitress, glad he didn't recognise her. He knew he'd had a one night stand with someone who worked here but then, from memory that had been a guy. Christin nodded in answer to her question. "I'll probably stay yeah. Nothing else to do." He grinned happily, pushing his hair out of his face. "Anyway, I'd rather stay here and catch up with you." Christin added with childish smile.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME "NO, I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE," she said, hoping she didn't give him the wrong impression. Just because they weren't as close as they used to be didn't mean she didn't mind seeing him.
THE TWO OF THEM USED TO BE INSEPARABLE, BACK THEN. Like brother and sister. When she first moved to Cherry Tree Lane, she didn't have that many friends. The younger you are, the harder it is to act mature and accept someone new into an existing friend group. Charlotte didn't put it together at the time, but that was why she and Christin were such close friends; they were both somewhat outcasts of the schoolyard. For different reasons, of course. Charlotte might have been new, but Christin had already learned how to push people away.
SO MUCH HAS CHANGED, BUT SO MUCH IS STILL THE SAME, she thought. They had a bond that ran deep, a bond that was hard to break. It didn't hurt, of course, that air and earth elements were so similar, depending on the spectrum that they fell on. Charlotte remembered being fascinated by Chinese astrology in school.
"I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU WERE GOING TO BE ORDERING
any food to go with that drink. I'd have them hold my food until yours is ready," she said. "Wouldn't want to be done so much earlier than you!" tagging open! outfit outfitwords 206 lyrics your bird can sing by the beatles credits this was made by brooke ![/blockquote]

-- we've got it good ( WHETHER YOU LIKE THIS TOWN OR NOT ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Christin smiled at her, glad she wasn't bothered by him being here. He knew there were a few people that wished he'd just piss off and leave him alone but not everyone voiced their opinions. He was glad Charlotte was happy to see him, it made him happier. They used to be so close, always together. He could remember Charlotte's first day at Cherry Tree Lane, even though he'd been so young. He could remember how lonely he'd been before she'd moved here. Christin had had friends, and sort of best friends, but never a really close friend. Someone you always felt comfortable around. He was glad to have the sort of friendship with someone.
Food? He hadn't thought of ordering food. In fact, he wasn't sure he was hungry at all so he merely shook his head. "I've got a drink, that's all I need." He assured her with a smile. He normally ate loads in fact, food was one of his favorite things. Eating was his favorite hobby and when he passed on food, it was often a cause of worry for his friends. Mostly, he didn't eat if he was upset but today, he just wasn't hungry. Maybe he'd finally gotten bored of food .. no, that probably wasn't it. He had eaten a lot the night before, that was probably why. Yes, that was it. All that ice cream and cake last night had made him feel a little ill today.
Christin grinned widely at her. "Always the considerate one, aren't you Lottie." He laughed happily, holding his cup tightly in his hand. "Anyway, it wouldn't matter if you were done earlier then me, I'd make you sit here and wait until I was finished." He informed her cheerily, feeling far happier now.
